Sansaar is a Sanskrit word meaning world. It is also used in my mother tongue Nepalese and in the related language Hindi.
My name is Saraswati or Saru for short. I come from Nepal, a country formed by Hinduism and Buddhism. I have been living in Switzerland since 2006. I live in Baar in the canton of Zug and have a family with two children.
I already practiced yoga as a young woman when I was still living in Kathmandu in Nepal. I can still remember my childhood well how my father made the sun salutation at our small family temple at home in our village, less as a fitness exercise and much more as part of the Hindu morning prayer ritual. In Switzerland I always did yoga in addition to my general fitness training until I decided to practice yoga intensively and attend yoga teacher trainings. Yoga has become my passion.
In April 2019, I completed a yoga teacher training in Kathmandu, Nepal. Since then I have been teaching small groups and giving private lessons. I had further intensive yoga teacher trainings in Mysore, India, in February 2020 and in Kathmandu, Nepal, in April/May 2021. In April/May 2022, I continued by education with Anmol Singh (Rishikesh, India).
I am happy to pass on my knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Pranayama and Singing Bowl Therapy to anyone interested. Yoga not only trains the body, but also the mind.
